Team Registration:
No over the phone confirmation of registrations. All entries must be paid through online or cheque only. Registration must be submited on/before 27th December 2007.

Division Pendekar
Open to all teams in Malaysia & Asean region.
Electronic markers with semi auto/NPPL mode only/allowed.
Not more than 10 active players in the roster.

Prizes:
1st : 40cases Paintball of 2000 rounds (Value @ RM8,000.00) + Medal & Trophy
2nd: 30cases Paintball of 2000 rounds (Value @ RM6,000.00) + Medal
3rd: 20cases Paintball of 2000 rounds (Value @ RM4,000.00) + Medal
4th: Medal only

Division Pendekar Registration Fees: RM700.00

Division Pahlawan
Open to all Div 3 & 4 teams in Malaysia only.
(NO Div1 & 2 players allowed)

The Millennium Asia Sports Sdn Bhd - Press Release.

It is with great pleasure to announce the formation and the launching of our new company, The Millennium Asia Sports Sdn Bhd, the ultimate Asian Paintball Series, in full partnership and co-owned by Millennium Series Europe.

What we have here is European expertise and capabilities but with Malaysian flair and style. After nearly a decade of organising and operating successful World class paintball events and championships in Europe, the Millennium Series Europe with its vast pools of amassed knowledge and expertise, is branching out into Asia. This partnership will set new standards of World class paintball tournaments and events throughout the Asian region. Each event will rival those like the PSP, NPPL and even the Millennium Series Europe itself.

Our aim with Millennium Asia is to bring these world class events from our hub in Malaysia to our neighbouring countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Philippines, Taiwan and even Australia. Our objective is to produce high calibre teams that can compete with the best of the best in the World’s stage and to project paintball as a serious and highly competitive sport. Our partner, Millennium Series Europe will provide experts advice and training with full Paintball Industry support to enable teams and players alike to achieve their dreams and aspirations.

With these visions in mind, Millennium Asia will form the first Asian Semi Pro League in 2011 and our inaugural event scheduled in January 2011 in Kuala Lumpur will feature the first ever division for World Class Professional paintball players to compete in. Millennium Asia with the assistance of Millennium Europe and its Industry support will invite Pro teams like Dynasty, Ironmen, Nexus, Impact, Joy Division, TonTons etc with its full team compliment to compete. By 2012 we propose to feature a regular Pro Division and perhaps as a full leg of the World Millennium Series event based in Kuala Lumpur. Millennium Asia will feature 3 events in 2011 with host from the neighbouring nations and intend to increase these in future.

Millennium Asia will also work closely with the newly formed Malaysian Paintball Federation as the Sport’s governing body and the Malaysia Sports Council to regulate and to provide unified Rules and Regulation and synergy between government ministries, participants and paintball industry as a whole and to encourage non paintball related industry involvement. Millennium Asia will through the Federation work with the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Tourism and Culture promote not only this sport but also the host nation. With a recognised governing body as in the Federation and a unified Rules and regulations, gone are the days of dubious paintball event management and dubious marshalling and refereeing by so called qualified persons? All these will be replaced by qualified person registered with the Federation and trained to the appropriate levels.

Through Millennium Asia and the Federation, all paintball players will be registered with the United Paintball Federation - UPBF, a proposed World governing body which is also a brainchild of the Millennium Series Europe to track and assist any player on the World’s circuit and to provide a database so that each paintball player can be ranked and recognised on the World’s stage.

Other notable partners in the Millennium Asia Company are Tactical Action, KCHL Paintball, Skirmish Paintball Asia and Global Adventure Resources. Together we strive for a better and a brighter future in our beloved sports of paintball.

MacDev Rules!

Against all odds. We made it to the Finals. Came without any high expectations, but just to soak on the experience and most of all, to be with Dianne & Bourke of MacDev with their new Cyborg RX!.

Couldn't believe we went all the way. Infernal of Thailand deserves the win, cause they had been playing awesome both days. Hats of to you guys!. As of Macdev Ronin, we picked our games on the second day after a slow first day, and we steam-rolled over Datis (PALS Series Champion 2007), SWAT (AUS), Raskal (UK), Demonz Red (MPOC Overall Champ) and others to make it to the finals.



Thanks to all that came to support, pit and guidance. You know who you are. Thanks to MacDev for their guns that performed magnificently thru the mud and rain.

And to MY-NPL & MAPAAC, Tactical Action & Delta Rovers, without you guys, we would not get this far.

And playing PSP ramp in this field & format, at least for me as a first-timer, I do consider myself a newbie. Some of us even shooting at semi-auto mode! Tehehehe...

Must be the characters behind the show that really pulls the crowd! I'm sure you guys still remember Solo, Mas "Blackrose", Vegas, Andrew "Supahstar", Baron and of course team blue & red coaches, Soon & DaBoss. These crazy characters are one of the best highlights of the show apart from the contestant going for the cash! Of course, we have the lovely Rai as the show presenter. The Story

The just concluded Pengerang Open 2008, which was held on 19 and 20 January 2008 at Stadium Bandar Penawar, Pengerang, Kota Tinggi, Johor has rewrite the record book of paintball in Malaysia. It offers the biggest ever prize money in the history of the game in Malaysia and once again the Team Of the Malaysian National League led by the main presenter, Tactical Action Sdn Bhd, was given to honour to execute the proceedings.

The day down south begun with downpour that nearly cost the game. At Field No. 1, teams from Johor, X3MIX and RAZ LEGION JR is the curtain raiser match whilst LEOPARD HUNTERS of Melaka played RAINFOREST 7 TIGERS of Jerantut, Pahang the opener at Field No. 2. Again and again we still see teams forfeiting the first game due to timeliness or rather lack of it, and RAZ LEGION JR is of no exception. Kudos to the team of organiser for keeping the time on schedule, whilst RAINFOREST 7 TIGERS began with flying colours beating LEOPARD HUNTERS. Nonetheless, the rain failed to deter the game and goes as schedule throughout the day. The coldness of South China Sea plus the rain had made the day like in the cold country as quoted from a player of DRX.."I could feel the coldness and the foggy day"....

Altogether 8 teams of the Pendekar Division, 14 of the Pahlawan Division and 28 of the Closed Pengerang took part and we are proud to see the mergence of teams from host state Johor which constitutes 10 of the teams in Pahlawan Division. Johor has become the force to be reckoned in the development of the sport in Malaysia and we sincerely hope that continuation shall prevail in MY-NPL 2008. So the first day ended with all the teams completed their preliminary games with ZEALOUS topping the chart in the Pendekar Division and NOMERCY lying top in the Pahlawan Division.

Come Day 2, the D-Day, the knock-out rounds of the quarterfinals begins. This is the very first tournament whereby the new format of MY-NPL, whereby quarterfinal shall be carried by means of a knockout, best of 3 was introduced. Initially causing confusions among the players, especially on the arrangement of game but eventually things becoming clearer and comprehendable. Thanks to the ever informative Mr Tournament Director!. ZEALOUS and SPITFIRE commence the day at Field No. 1 and NOMERCY and LEOPARD HUNTERS at Field No. 2. It was a very hot, sunny and humid second day of the tournament, the sunglasses and umbrella started to appear. And it was even hotter inside the field, with every contestant pouring their heart and soul to grab the biggest ever prize money offered in any paintball tournament in Malaysia. At the end of the game, FLANKER and RASKAL squared it off in the Division Pendekar whilst X3MIX and S2K battled it out in the Pahlawan Division. The prize giving ceremony was officiated by the local ADUN, YB Dato' Harun Abdullah and the end of the day - EVERYBODY IS A WINNER.

The MY-NPL Divisions in 2009

In 2009, Division 1 will be playing in Super7 format! While Division 2, 3 & 4 will maintains as 5men format.

For Division 1 only. Each team will consists of ten (10)active players on their roster and shall field a maximum of seven (7) players in every game.

Open to all D2 teams in Asian region.
Maximum of two (2) D1 players are allowed in D2 roster.
Electronic markers with semi auto/NPPL mode allowed.

Division 3 (Rookie)
Open to South East Asia countries D3 Teams only.
Electronic markers with semi auto/NPPL mode allowed.

Division 4 (Young Gun) -(Prelims 6 games)
Open to all Malaysian new players & teams with NO tournament records

Akademi Fantasia 5 Students at Paintball!

Well, this is rather late, but only today I got hold of their photos. Thanks to my buddy Wong from Delta Rovers & Tactical Action who supplied these photos.

Hah? What is err.. Akademi Fantasia?

A background story:
Akademi Fantasia or simply known as AF is Malaysia's first reality show, which brought big changes to the Malaysian entertainment scene in the year 2003, when the first season of the show aired by Astro Ria.

At the beginning, 12 contestants (called students) will stay in a house called "Akademi" and spend their whole time practicing songs, acting and other activities that are related to performing arts. The classes are held by professional trainers (called teachers) that form part of a faculty.

The host of the show is Aznil Hj Nawawi, a popular Malaysian TV host. He is known for adding humour to the proceedings and will retire as a TV host for AF as of the end of the season 5. The academy is lead by the "Principal". For the past 4 seasons of the show, the principal has changed every year. The 5th season of the show ended recently on the 19th of May 2007.

The format of the show is taken from "La Academia", which originated in Mexico. Malaysia is the first country in Southeast Asia to have its own version of this show, and it has subsequently been followed by Indonesia and Thailand, all of which have been received better than the regional reach of the Idol series.

Winners of the series have all gone on to become the biggest selling music acts in Malaysia, with even former contestants making themselves a permanent fixture in the local music industry.

The winners of the first four seasons have been Vince Chong, Zahid, Mawi and Faizal who are among the biggest names in the music scene. The show just made history by naming its first female champion, Mila.
