Satu Suara - Satu Komuniti, Satu Persatuan

IT Sport Park? Take a look at the banner above. LOL!

Something I have been meaning to post much earlier but I thought, let me find the video first, so that we can really see what's going on. Now finally I have it, and here it is.

Great Idea, Bad Execution

It's great to have this kind of awareness about being in a club or community, especially when paintball is highlighted. But, in this case, it might create more confusion.

After getting the headaches for refusing to rempit, that guy decides to let off some steam playing paintball with friends. But, you don't play paintball behind an alley (in this case, the road behind the Federal Court). It should be in a proper paintball place, be it speedball or scenario field.

I think they don't even have barrel socks on in this video. Again, this could confuse the general public out there, thinking that this is 'normal' and if TV shows it, then it's ok to do it.

Same discussion going on at life is full of xperience.

New Youth & Sports Minister Appointed

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced a 28-member Cabinet with 25 ministries that saw eight ministers dropped and seven new faces appointed.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who won the Umno deputy presidency in last month’s party elections, was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister.

Najib, who took his oath of office as the new prime minister on April 3, also retained the finance portfolio which he has held since Sept 19 last year following the portfolio swap between him and former premier Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at that time.

Najib’s Cabinet is slightly smaller than his predecessor’s 32 ministers and 27 ministries.

Najib said that the new members of the administration were highly spirited and ready to serve.

“I am confident that all of them share the same commitment to spur the nation towards excellence.

“This is our lineup and our team which reflects Malaysia’s plural society,“ he said when announcing the list at the Prime Minister’s Department, carried live on national television.

The new Cabinet also a reflection of the slogan “One Malaysia. People First. Performance Now” adopted by Najib’s administration.

The eight dropped are Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar (Home), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said (Tourism), Senator Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib (Rural and Regional Development), Senator Datuk Amirsham A. Aziz (Prime Minister’s Department), Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan (Housing and Local Government), Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamed (Works), Datuk Seri Zulhasnan Rafique (Federal Territories) and Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad (Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs) who had resigned.

The new faces includes Gerakan president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon who is appointed Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of Unity and Performance Management.

The functions of the Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development will be absorbed by other ministries -- for example, small and medium enterprise development will come under International Trade and Industry, while Mara and Tekun will be overseen by Rural and Regional Development.

Najib also announced that he would be forming a Council of Economic Advisers, consisting of between six and eight experts who will advise him directly on economic matters. The chairman of the Council will have ministerial rank but would not be part of the Cabinet.

Najib was at Istana Terengganu in Kuala Lumpur at about 10:57am where he had a 30-min audience with the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan, before leaving for Putrajaya where he announced the new line-up at 3pm.

The premier had spent the last five days juggling names and positions to take into consideration the requests and views of various Barisan Nasional component parties.

MY-NPL Round 2, JB - News Release

MALAYSIAN PAINTBALL PLAYERS COUNCIL (MPPC)

This council is made up of the Captains of teams playing in MY-NPL league. They are elected democratically by their peers during the 1st AGM on each MY-NPL calendar year. For the 2009-2010 season, the council members are from :

2009-2010 MPPC Commitee Members

Division 1 -Team Wolverinez - Chairman
Division 1 -Team Delta Rovers
Division 1 -Team MacDev Ronin
Division 1 -Team Nemesis Legion
Division 1 -Team Raz Legion
Division 2 -Team CMX
Division 2 -Team Cobra Mercenaries
Division 2 -Team Outrecs
Division 2 -Team Raiders
Division 3 -Team Shimigami-X
Division 3 -Team Shockwave

Council members meet up a few days before a MY-NPL event to discuss and share info, rule changes, request by teams etc. So mostly it’s to look after the players affairs but one infamous reason why the council is known for is because it also hear the disputed cases brought to it by the MPRO or by teams. For more serious cases, ban can be imposed by the council on players or teams found guilty of any infringement of the MY-NPL rules.

Over this coming weekend, the Players Council will be in the limelights again with a few cases brought up to them. These cases will surely bring major impact to not only those who are directly involved but also to other teams as well.

My personal view is that the Players Council above all should be there to help & assist players & teams in any way possible, being the bridge between the MY-NPL, MPRO & the players themselves. It should not be used in any way as a tool by any parties involve and should always remain independent of any pressure by any parties. We all would like to see a strong Council, a council that can make decisions, a Council that can be Fair & Just to all. So Council Members, you have a heavy responsibility on you, my advise is always be a player first & a politician second. All actions by the council will come a full circle & hit us on the head when our day comes.

So,

Let’s just wait & see what the outcome will be on the meeting. I will surely update you guys with the juicy stuff later since I personally will be at the meeting representing my team as a member of the council.

Signing off…………..for NOW.
