PALS releases 2011 Paintball Calendar

PALS has just released their 2011 paintball calendar and at a glance, a few new venues will be introduce. For MPOC's Melaka Cup, I assume it will be held in Melaka and also Selangor's Cup to be somewhere in Selangor. Sultan of Kedah's Cup would probably still be at Darul Aman Stadium in Alor Setar. Great venue with nice field.

A big surprise this year (actually for 2011) is the inclusion of Hainan (China) as the kick-off leg for the PALS series. Then followed by Thailand and the Philippines. And of course, the World Cup Asia in Langkawi! Tropical island with endless beauty. Looking forward to 2011 very much!

Well done PALS!

question is ...

is their politicking to our benefit or the power trip of a handful of individuals.

I mean if leagues are merged and regional tourneys synch'd it'd be much better if they are spaced out one month each throughout the year

Jan - domestic e1
Feb - regional e1
Mar - domestic e2
Apr - regional e2
May - domestic e3
Jun - regional e3
Jul - domestic e4
Aug - regional e4
Sep - domestic e5
Oct - regional e5
Nov - World Cup

Teams like TGC are slowly working our way towards getting corporate sponsorship. And I believe many serious non factory (vendor) teams will follow suite. Having tournaments spaced out once a month only makes sense for us. This clashes and overlaps is a burden that will become an issue soon.

Actually that has been a problem for awhile. Having MY-NPL and MPOC events so near with each other was already a challenge for some teams and that's when some teams decided to play only one league.

Then CPCL came about and now we have three leagues to play. Add PALS, ISSC and MSL events, we'll never run out of events to play.

But, can our limited pool of players support these leagues and events? It's not just your team who gets affected, others too.

some put up their dates taking account others to avoid clashes, while some just simply put without referring to others...
clashed with the least popular one due to lack of publicity maybe can still be considered as unexpected/accidental accurance, which still negotiable.. but on a highly publicised well-known dates...? just to show/test power/popularity?

...& yet still claiming doing it for the players as well as the growth of the industry...
yeah, right...
